SARNIA, ON, November 24, 2008 — The finishing touches are being made to Bluewater Health Foundation’s 2009 Dream Home, in anticipation of the official opening on Saturday, November 29, at 1:00 pm. Located at 200 Ron Bolt Street in the subdivision of Heritage Park, in Sarnia (located off Confederation Line, past Modeland Road and Upper Canada Drive), the home is worth more than $375,000.
“Iacobelli Construction Ltd. and the interior designer affiliated with the builder, Brush Strokes Interiors, have once again poured their creativity and expertise into this one-of-a-kind home,” said Marg Hendra, Chair, Dream Home Lottery, Bluewater Health Foundation. “The winner will have the choice of taking the home or $300,000 cash. Best of luck to all!”
The proceeds from this year’s dream home will be used to support the purchase of digital mammography equipment for the Mammography Unit at Bluewater Health. In addition, a special partnership with the Breast Cancer Society of Canada will see the net proceeds of the Dream Home Lottery matched dollar-for-dollar.
The public is invited to tour the home every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, beginning Saturday, November 29, through to Sunday, February 22, 2009.
7000 tickets will be sold for $100 each, and are now on sale at Bluewater Health’s three sites: CEEH, switchboard; Mitton Site, patient registration; and Norman Site, foundation office. Tickets are also available at community locations including area banks, credit unions, Shoppers Drug Mart, the offices of Gamble Insurance, and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
In addition to the home, 473 other prizes are available, including cash prizes from $100 to $5,000. The total prize board is worth $450,000. On Wednesday, January 28, 300 dream home tickets will be given away in the Early Bird Draw. The winning ticket and other prizes will be drawn on Saturday, February 28, at an event at the Dante Club Hall.
