Proceeds
Monies raised from the lottery will go directly towards funding the BC Lions Society’s Easter Seals Camping programs. These overnight camps are specially designed and staffed to provide safe, fun, positive experiences for children with disabilities. There are three Easter Seals Camps in BC- in Squamish, Winfield and Shawnigan Lake- that accommodate approximately 800 children every summer. With the help of donations and ticket purchases, the BC Lions Society “continues to put smiles on the faces of children by making their camps “The Best Place on Earth” for these kids.” (source: lottery website)
“At a cost of approximately $2,400 per child to attend camp, Easter Seals Camps require over $1.4 million each year to operate, maintain and staff. The BC Lions Society funds the camping programs exclusively from revenues received through donations and fundraising.” (source: lottery rules)
