EVERY CHILD DESERVES THE CHANCE TO PLAY BASEBALL!

If I were to tell you about an organized youth and adult baseball league, you might call it ordinary.  If I were to tell you the athletes were intellectually or physically challenged, you might call it touching.  If you were to see them play, you would call it a MIRACLE. The Rotary Club of Amherstburg brought the First Miracle League to all of Canada.

Every game day 140 children and adults from Essex County with physical and intellectual disabilities, along with 100 volunteers gather on a specially built diamond that allows wheelchairs and walkers to be barrier free, play four of the most remarkable baseball games you have ever seen each week.

The Miracle League provides the opportunity for children and adults with disabilities a chance to play baseball, make new friends, and build self esteem.

The Miracle League removes the barriers that keep anyone with a disability off the baseball field and lets them experience the joy of this great pastime.
Our Players may not be able to run the bases as well as their peers, but they have an equal amount of love and determination to play the game. We want to help them achieve that dream.

We believe “Everyone deserves a chance to Play Baseball”
