The draw is scheduled for December 21 at 4 pm, and it looks like this December jackpot will be one of the biggest of the year with more than $29,000 in ticket sales so far.

Proceeds from previous 50/50 draws have been used to acquire essential medical equipment, benefiting many different departments within LGH. Recent purchases include a treadmill for the Cardiology Department, sleeper chairs for North Shore Hospice, and an electric cast saw for the Cast Clinic. The generosity of donors has also facilitated the establishment of crucial units like the High Acuity Unit and the Psychiatric Emergency Assessment and Treatment area in the Emergency Department, catering to patients with complex health needs and mental health/substance use issues, respectively.
LGH Foundation emphasizes the impact of donor contributions on enhancing the quality of treatment and care available to patients. The funds raised from the LGH 50/50 will continue to support patient care across all publicly funded health care facilities on the North Shore, benefiting individuals from newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to vulnerable elderly patients.
