RED DEER, AB, June 13, 2016 — This will be the last week to purchase your tickets for the Grand Prize and Mega Bucks 50 draws in the 2016 Hospitals’ lottery! The winner of the Mega Bucks 50 draw will take home half of the total jackpot, which has already reached over $400,000! Mega Bucks 50 tickets can be purchased as an “add-on” to the normal lottery tickets, at $10 each, ten for $25, or twenty-five for $50. The main lottery tickets will enter you into the draws for the Grand Prize Dream Home and 465 other prizes, which includes two vehicles: a 2016 Ford Mustang GT convertible and a 2016 Dodge 1500 Crew Cab 4×4 (each valued at over $60,000). These tickets are sold individually at $35 each, three for $75, five for $100, or fifteen for $250. All tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-877-808-9005, or by mail. The lottery is already over 60% sold, and all ticket sales close at 11PM on June 19th (this Sunday).

The draw for the Grand Prize and Mega Bucks 50 will be at the Dream Home (117 Lazaro Close, Red Deer) on July 8, beginning at 9 AM.

The Grand Prize in this lottery is the Dream Home built by Sorento Custom Homes. This home is described as a “cottage-in-the-city” as it is charming and quaint yet conveniently located within the city limits. Located in the community of Laredo, this 2,985 square feet bungalow (complete with finished basement) has a curved, stone exterior and a bright, charming interior. Valued at $700,000, the home features a bright, open concept kitchen and living area complete with wine tasting and beverage serving stations, large bar island, and stone fireplace that extends to the 10ft ceiling. The basement has a combined bar and recreation room, as well as the second and third bedroom with shared bathroom. You can take a virtual tour by clicking here, or visit the dream home in person from 1-5pm Wednesday-Sundays in May. The home is located at 117 Lazaro Close, Red Deer.

The lottery proceeds support the RDRH Foundation and their Phase Two project to revolutionize cardiac care in Red Deer. This $700,000 project will see the purchase of technologically advanced equipment- digital clocks, hardwired beds, portable monitors- as well as necessary renovations to improve and expand the cardiac programs. The $1 Million Phase One project was completed last year with the lottery’s support, and the organizers are hoping for another successful turnout this year!
