Charlottetown, PEI, May 24, 2017 — Another year, another chance to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Edward Island with their annual Dream Cottage Draw! Proceeds from the lottery support their mission to boost the confidence and self esteem of the Island’s children, which they do through their transformative mentorship programs. The lottery is one of their largest fundraisers, and funds will help them recruit and screen volunteers, professionally support their matches, run programs like Kids N’ Kops, host events for their Big/Little matches, and provide materials for In-School Mentors.
You already know it’s a great cause, now take a look at what’s in store for their ticket buyers! They have a stacked line-up of prizes this year, with plenty of early draws to keep the excitement going until the Grand Prize Cottage Draw in September.
First up is the Early Bird draw for $7,500 cash, whose deadline is coming up on May 24th. If you buy your tickets by this deadline, you’ll also be entered into the Draws for Dad in June, the Summer Fun Draws in July, and the Travel Draw for a roundtrip flight to any WestJet scheduled destination of your choice in August. Of course, the main event will be the draw for the Dream Cottage. The cottage design has been revamped this year, to include an entryway with laundry and a French door opening into the living room. The cottage is 1120 square feet, with 2 private bedrooms and a den, and features cathedral ceilings, big windows, and high quality maple cabinetry. Whether it’s a cottage getaway or a cozy new home, we could all use a little more cottage time in our lives!
Tickets are sold individually for $37, in books of 3 for $83, or in books of 5 for $113. You can also add-on a Furniture Tag and Additional Appliance Tag to your purchase. The Furniture Tag gives the winner the option to take the $70,000 cash payout instead of the cottage.
