ALBERTA, December 2010 – Thanks to Winner’s Choice Lottery, the dream of a new facility is now a reality. In December 2010, the EOCF purchased a building, and today the new school can accommodate up to 150 students, which is a 100% increase over the previous facility. Since relocating to the new school, registration is up by 15% and actual attendance has improved by 10% over the previous year—and they have very proud high school graduates. These are remarkable achievements for kids who come from broken homes and lives rooted in the street.
Edmonton’s Inner City High provides a safe and inspiring place in the midst of the community. It has the proven ability to change lives. A high school education should not be a fantasy for these kids—it should be a dream that can actually come true.
The purchase of a Winner’s Choice Lottery ticket will help these kids realize a high school education, or support one of the many other causes supported by the Foundation. Since its inception in 2001, the EOCF has contributed almost $23 million to over 2,700 charitable organizations all across Oil Country.
