Building Confidence Through Hydrotherapy
At Holy Family Hospital (HFH) Rehabilitation, the hydrotherapy pool is more than a therapeutic space, it’s a bridge to independence. Operated by the physiotherapy team, the pool supports a diverse group of patients across both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as participants in the Chronic Pain Program at St. Paul’s Hospital.
By mirroring the tools and experiences patients will encounter in community settings, HFH Rehabilitation creates a seamless transition from clinical care to independent, self-directed activity, supporting lasting recovery, and healthy movement. As demand for these programs continue to grow, so does the need for specialized equipment that reflects real-world, community-based physical activity.
Your raffle purchase helps fund new hydrotherapy equipment such as, yako paddles, styrofoam hand weights, steps, pool noodle, and beach balls, giving patients the opportunity to safely practice and become familiar with tools under the guidance of a physiotherapist. This hands-on experience builds the confidence, and practical skills patients need to carry their recovery forward, long after they leave hospital care.
