VANCOUVER, BC, August 12, 2016 — The winners of the 2016 Blooming Lottery may be walking away with some great cash prizes but it’s the approximately 900 children a year who attend the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities Easter Seals Camping programs that really benefit. The monies raised from all the ticket sales in this year’s lottery, as with all previous years, will go directly towards supporting the three Easter Seals Camps in BC – Squamish, Winfield and Shawnigan Lake.
Helping to raise that money are Mr. & Mrs. Willem B. Van Doorninck of North Vancouver (ticket # 12108) who are the lucky winners of the biggest cash giveaway in this year’s lottery – $25,000.
Ms. Susy Austin of Summerland (#7373) is $5,000 richer and Mrs. Penny Ball of Vancouver (#5248) has $2,000 extra to spend as she sees fit.
Mr. Alfred Panted of Sidney (#3363), Ms. Nancy Levesque of Kamloops (#2498), and Mr. Phillip Craig of Prince Rupert (#877) are each enjoying an extra $1,000 cash.
