It will offer larger clinical spaces that enhance comfort, private rooms that provide dignity and quiet for patients and families, and integrated technology that supports rapid diagnosis and highly coordinated care. Inside the new tower, the Emergency Department will more than double in size, a new interventional “superfloor” will speed treatment for heart attacks and strokes, and critical care capacity will grow dramatically. Families will also find comfort in new maternity and neonatal spaces built to keep parents and newborns close.
