VANCOUVER, BC, October 5, 2026 — This Mental Health Awareness Week is an opportunity to recognize the importance of mental health and the difference that compassionate, community-based support can make for people living with mental illness.
Across British Columbia, people living with mental illness need more than clinical care alone. Having a safe place to live, opportunities to connect with others, meaningful work and access to ongoing support can all play an important role in recovery and building a meaningful life.
Through the Win Big, Give Big! Coast 50/50, British Columbians can help support this work — while getting a chance to win half the jackpot!

Creating Opportunities for Recovery
For more than 50 years, Coast Mental Health has helped people living with mental illness find opportunities to recover, thrive and contribute in their communities.
Coast provides community-based programs and services that complement the health-care system and help people move forward in their recovery. This includes housing, support services, employment and education opportunities, and programs that help build connection, confidence and independence.
It’s an approach built around something simple but powerful: helping people find a place to live, a place to connect and a place to work.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, purchasing a Coast 50/50 ticket is one way British Columbians can help create those opportunities while getting a chance to win big.
