VANCOUVER, BC, December 5, 2016 — The holidays may have come and gone, but a new year is shortly upon us, and the winners of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities 2016 Christmas Wish Lottery now have plenty of reasons to celebrate a fresh start! 56 prize winners were selected yesterday, December 4, each taking home some cash to sweeten the end of 2016.
The Grand Prize of $25,000 cash was awarded to Jim Williams of Port McNeill (Ticket #7531). The second prize was a hearty $5,000 cash, which will be spent Margaret H. Foster of Aldergrove (Ticket #6052). A sweet $2,000 cash was the third prize, which went to Caroline E. Slade of Kelowna (Ticket #14281).
There were also three winners of $1,000 cash each: Irv Ross of Vancouver (Ticket #6471), Robert L. Anderson of Port Alice (Ticket #10802), and Hildegard Demale of West Kelowna (Ticket #941).
The remaining 50 winners won $100 cash each.
