LGH 50/50 Helps Save Lives

The LGH Festive 50/50, organized by Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) Foundation, is currently selling tickets for its December Draw, aiming to raise funds for life-saving care in the North Shore community. The draw is scheduled for December 21 at 4 pm, with the current jackpot exceeding $13,000.

The larger the jackpot, the more participants win, contributing to the support of dedicated healthcare teams and improving patient care.

Proceeds from previous 50/50 draws have been used to acquire essential medical equipment, benefiting various departments within LGH. Recent purchases include a treadmill for the Cardiology Department, sleeper chairs for North Shore Hospice, and an electric cast saw for the Cast Clinic. The generosity of donors has also facilitated the establishment of crucial units like the High Acuity Unit and the Psychiatric Emergency Assessment and Treatment area in the Emergency Department, catering to patients with complex health needs and mental health/substance use issues, respectively.

LGH Foundation emphasizes the impact of donor contributions on enhancing the quality of treatment and care available to patients. The funds raised from the LGH 50/50 will continue to support patient care across all publicly funded health care facilities on the North Shore, benefiting individuals from newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to vulnerable elderly patients.
