Over 946 children living with life-threatening illnesses and families from five provincial health regions receive Canuck Place inpatient and community-based care (in home/in hospital). His eyes filled with tears,” says Carrie Bancroft, clinical nurse leader in the cardiac unit. “He was so surprised that he could now see the words and had no problem filling out the form. He was proud and happy when I showed him how they looked on him. Our team cannot thank you enough for giving the patients of St. Paul’s Hospital these types of precious gifts.”
