Aven’s life in Regina, SK., took a drastic turn at 10 years old when what seemed like growing pains turned out to be leukemia. Despite facing challenges like weight loss and food aversion, Aven completed his two-and-a-half-year treatment in August 2023. Now 13, he enjoys playing guitar, building Lego, gaming, and spending time with friends. Aven’s family is grateful for his resilience and for the care at JPCH that helped him find moments of happiness throughout his medical journey.
