Celebrate the Festive Season with Bright Nights 50/50 Tickets

VANCOUVER, BC, December 13, 2021 — The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is one step closer to reaching a $1 Million Bright Nights 50/50 Jackpot by New Year’s Eve.

The holidays are the most important time of year for fundraising for the Burn Fund, the 43-year-old charity of BC’s professional fire fighters.

The Burn Fund’s largest fundraising event, Bright Nights in Stanley Park, returned this year. However with only a 50 per cent capacity and weeks of rainy weather, donations at the gate are down by 70 per cent compared to 2019. The Burn Fund hopes the Bright Nights 50/50 can recoup these losses.

“When you buy a ticket for the Bright Nights 50/50, you are supporting burn survivors across BC and the Yukon,” says Gord Ditchburn, President, BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

“These proceeds allow the Burn Fund to provide services from housing at the Burn Fund Centre to mental health support for burn survivors who have experienced trauma and increased isolation during the pandemic.”

Tickets for the Bright Nights 50/50 are one for $15, three for $40, and six for $60. The deadline is New Year’s Eve with the draw taking place on January 10, 2021.
