THUNDER BAY, ON, June 1, 2021 — Authorities in Northern Ontario are in hot pursuit of an elusive fugitive known only as Ace Man. Last seen driving a brand new crossover SUV in his signature green suit – emblazoned with aces – if you catch him you’ll win a reward of over $10,000!
Now in Week 10, Thunder Bay’s Catch the Ace is a unique collaborative fundraiser presented by United Way of Thunder Bay and the Port Arthur Rotary. Proceeds from the raffle support vital local charities including:

The Dew Drop Inn offers a safe, welcoming environment where men, women and children can access nutritious take-home meals. In 2020 the Dew Drop Inn served 110,565 free meals to the community – a record breaker in its 40 years of feeding the hungry.
Your purchase of a $10 Catch the Ace ticket will give 4 individuals in need the option of a substantial take-home cold lunch or a hearty take-home hot meal.
OUR KIDS COUNT
Programs at Our Kids Count (OKC) address a number of vital concerns for local families, including social isolation, food security, and parenting support. The Emergency Food Cupboard allows families to access two days worth of free meals once a month.
When you buy a $20 Catch the Ace ticket, you help support OKC programs such as the Emergency Food Cupboard.
ROOTS TO HARVEST
Roots to Harvest uses food as a tool to connect people to one another and build belonging and dignity through meaningful programs, initiatives and advocacy.
When you purchase a $40 Catch the Ace ticket, Roots is able to provide a culturally appropriate food hamper for newcomers struggling to meet their food needs including fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, eggs, and halal meat that is specifically curated for diverse cultures to cook with.
SHELTER HOUSE
Shelter House Thunder Bay (Thunder Bay Emergency Shelter Inc.) offers barrier-free sleeping accommodations – providing basic needs, dignity and comfort to people living in poverty.
Your generous purchase of an $80 Catch the Ace ticket helps provide a bed for someone to sleep in, a breakfast to start their day, and a healthy bagged lunch for when they go on their way.
