PEI, April 25, 2016 — The 23rd annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Edward Island Dream Cottage Draw is now underway! You could win the Cottage of your Dreams or $65,000 and support this organization in their goal to enrich the lives of Island children through their transformative mentorship programs.
The lottery will award four early prizes leading up to the Grand Prize Dream Cottage draw. The first deadline is for the Early Bird prize of $5,000 cash- purchase your tickets before the May 25th deadline to be entered into this first draw! Other early prizes include the Draws for Dad and Summer Fun prizes, and a Travel prize which will award one roundtrip for two to any regularly scheduled WestJet destination.
Tickets are sold individually for $35, in books of 3 for $80, or in books of 5 for $110. You can also add-on a Furniture Tag and Additional Appliance Tag to your purchase. The Furniture Tag gives the winner the option to take the $65,000 cash payout instead of the cottage. Tickets are available for purchase at the Dream Cottage location or by phone.
Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission is to inspire and empower children to reach their full potential through a variety of mentorship programs. This includes their Traditional, In-School mentors and (new) Teen Mentors, in which “Big Brothers” and “Big Sisters” spend time with a child every week and provide guidance, which has been shown to improve the children’s self-esteem and academic performance. They also offer a variety of group programs such as their Go Girls & Game On group programs, which promote physical activity, healthy life choices, and building girls’ self-esteem.
