Coming up on Friday, June 24th, thirty winners will be drawn for $70,000 worth of cash prizes, including the Grand Prize of $20,000!
The final draws are taking place this Friday at the Alberta SPCA head office at 17904 118 Ave NW, Edmonton. The draws will be videotaped for the public, or you can attend the draw in person. According to the official Rules and Regulations page, the winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email within 7 days. You can also refer back to Home Lottery News for a list of major winners, available soon after the details are released by the lottery.
Lottery proceeds support the SPCA in all the other great work they do, such as their efforts to reunite displaced pets with their owners affected by the Horse River Wildfire in Fort McMurray. According to their website, over 80% of the animals in their care have been reunited with their families. They also advise that “anyone who hasn’t heard about their animals should check the gallery of unidentified animals maintained by Wood Buffalo’s Animal Control Services. New photos are added periodically.” (source: albertaspca.org)
