Your lottery ticket purchases have a tremendous impact on BC Children’s Hospital’s research programs, which deliver direct benefits to children in BC, across Canada and around the world. Since BC Children’s Hospital held its first lottery in 2002, lotteries have contributed over $40 million to research at BC Children’s Hospital.
- BC Children’s Hospital lotteries are entirely self-funded. This means that all costs, including prizes, advertising and fees are covered by revenue from ticket sales. The net proceeds have an immense impact on the success of their research programs. Between 25 and 30 per cent of lottery proceeds are used to support research. They do not use donated funds to cover any of their lottery costs.
- BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s lotteries are conducted as a business that is quite separate from the charity side of their operations. BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s lotteries are overseen by a committee of the Board of Directors. Risks are carefully managed and they adhere strictly to BC Government rules and regulations regarding gaming.

where can I find the winners?
I have 3 tickets – where can I find the winners?

I have three tickets from May 2012′ how do I check them
Why is it so difficult to find out if my tickets are winners or losers?
I am not happy and if you cannot do a better job than this, I will consider not purchasing tickets in the future!!
This is frustrating. Please advise,
I cannot find a complete winners list for all prizes from the 2014 Choices lottery anywhere, only grand prize winners are listed. On this home lottery site there is a link for a list for ‘Electronics and other cool stuff’ that says to check “their site” but the url takes you to the main bcchildren.com site where there are no lists available. Under the More Info link, the only winner list you can get to is back here under the home lottery – this partial one.
I won’t be supporting this cause any longer – making it easy to find out if you’ve won something other than a grand prize has always been difficult, and it shouldn’t be! There’s really no excuse.
Now that the 2014 Dream Lottery has launched (as of this past Friday), the new lottery has replaced the 2014 Choices lottery content at bcchildren.com. They have not yet published a PDF of the Choices winners list on the new web site. May I suggest that you contact their customer service department at (604) 536-2491 or 1-866-636-2491 or email [email protected].
how do I find out if I won anything?
I am very disappointed with the Calender lottery, they used to send me notification of draw dates and how to order, but this year I have just received advert. which has already had prize draws for early bird etc. If I cannot be notified before early bird draws, please don’t bother to send me advertizements for the calender sweepstakes lottery. I am very disappointed in this charity. Deanna
Hi Deanna – I think you have several lotteries confused. You’ve posted a comment on the BC Children’s Choices Lottery page – they’ve never had a calendar lottery. Heart & Stroke foundation did a lottery previously in BC, but no longer does, and the Shop4Charity Calendar Sweepstakes only started last year, so couldn’t have sent you early bird reminders last year (as you wouldn’t have been a ‘previous’ purchaser)
I agree, can’t find the winner of the early bird draw anywhere! It’s very annoying to get reminder after reminder to BUY tickets, but then can’t find the winners after the draw (or get sent an email letting me know who won). I guess all your hard work is done. I hope you work on this, you could be looking at loosing many loyal supporters.
