Last year Katy Mayrs won over $73,000! Here is her story:
Katy Mayrs says that winning last year’s raffle was a truly life-changing experience. From the prize money itself to receiving a personal phone call from Mayor Jack Froese, she was amazed by the outpouring of congratulations and support from the community.
Working as the manager of Duolynx Design & Print in Walnut Grove, Katy heard about the raffle from customers and decided to purchase a ticket. While she says that “there would never be a wrong time to win this kind of money,” she found out that she had the winning number shortly after having to replace her car and coming off of CERB funding during the pandemic. Katy tells us that “it all felt very much like this was happening just at the right time!”
