About Bruyère Foundation
Bruyère plays a critical role in their region’s health care system, providing a wide range of services in the community, within the hospital campuses, in Long Term Care (LTC), and in supportive and independent living for seniors and vulnerable populations.
Individuals who are referred to Bruyère have suffered a loss of their independence and function, usually as a result of a significant medical event or illness. They work to restore this where possible, through rehabilitation and restorative care services. When this is not possible, they work to accommodate the loss of independence through LTC and long-term complex and chronic care. They strive to maintain health and wellness in the community through ambulatory care, primary care and specialized accommodation services. Palliative care supports the dignity and quality of life of their patients who are near the end of their journey.
