GRANDE PRAIRIE, January 25, 2016 — Defying recession talk, sales in the Dream Home Lottery are up substantially compared to last year, ahead of Sunday’s Loyalty Draw deadline. The Dream Home Lottery opened their Dream Home for viewing as of New Year’s Day and organizers say they are thrilled with response so far. “Response at the home has been very positive, and our sales – even more-so” says Raffle Manager Kevin Hilgers. “This is the first time we have had the home open in January. As the home wasn’t open yet last year at this time if we compare year to date online sales this year to last – we are up substantially. We are just thrilled at this. There is plenty of gloomy talk, this seems to be contrary to that. We’re truly grateful for the support we have received so far.” When asked why sales are up, Hilgers says “To be honest it’s a combination of things, I think. We have very loyal customers. We communicate with them a lot. The home, built by Stonebuilt Homes – is stunning. Even the new location in Taylor Estates brings with it another level of excitement”.
The Dream Home Loyalty Draw is free gas for a year courtesy of AMA Insurance. The deadline is Sunday at midnight. Anyone who purchases a Dream Home ticket prior to the deadline is also in the Loyalty Draw.
The annual fundraiser has been in existence since 1993, raising millions of dollars for the community.
