Make-A-Wish 50/50 Presented by The Clients of Babin Investment Management

SASKATCHEWAN, Friday, February 14, 2025 — Every two hours a child in Canada is diagnosed with a critical illness.   

Meet nine year old Theo, from Central Saskatchewan. Theo was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a condition where the liver’s ducts are blocked and can’t carry bile to the gallbladder. At just 15 months old he received a liver transplant and since then he’s relied on immunosuppressant drugs to prevent his body from rejecting his new liver. 

After years of hospital admissions, tests and treatment, Theo wanted to be whisked away on an airplane to a place that would cater to a child’s imagination and desires. His special wish to visit his favourite Florida theme park took place in late 2022.  

Theo had a blast on the theme park rides and revelled in the special treatment he received at the resort. Andrel said the resort staff made the family feel at home and showered Theo with treats and attention. 

 “It was such a huge blessing,” Theo’s mom Andrel said of the wish. “Theo was so young when he had his transplant and we are so thankful for his health, but we went through some hard times.”

Single tickets can be purchased for $20, 10 tickets for $50, 50 for $100 and 250 for $250. The raffle is open to Saskatchewan residents over the age of 18.
