Halifax Nova Scotia, December 8, 2021 — Tickets on Scotia Festival’s winter fundraiser are selling fast, with only 224 left.
Scotia Festival of Music is raffling an original painting, Sleigh in Winter, by Canada’s most famous folk artist, Maud Lewis (1903 – 1970), appraised at $24,500.
Last year’s Maud Lewis draw sold out. Don’t miss your chance this year to own an authentic and original piece of Canadian history.
Prices for Maud Lewis’s paintings have been soaring at auctions recently.
There are only 777 tickets at $100 each, or 3 for $250. The winner can either take the painting, or $20,000 cash.
Ticket purchasers may also purchase tickets in the 50/50 draw, at $25 each, or 5 for $100.
To buy tickets, visit the Scotia Festival of Music’s lottery page or call (902) 429-9467.
The draw will be streamed live from the Music Room, on Thursday December 16, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. You will be able to watch on their website.
Proceeds from the draw will go to support the activities of Scotia Festival of Music, a 2-week festival of chamber music in Halifax, equally dedicated to performance and education. In 2019 they celebrated their 40th year.
Tickets are only available to residents of Nova Scotia.
