LONDON, Ontario, June 7, 2019 — Dream Lottery sold out this week on Wednesday, June 5, prior to the Bonus Draw sales deadline and well before the final deadline of July 4. This is the third sell out in the last four editions of the lottery and the ninth since the lottery’s inception in 1996. The lottery’s Travel & Treasure Calendar had already sold out May 31. The 50/50 pool – where the winner takes half – set a record, exceeding $1,050,000. All ticket sales, including the 50/50 are now closed.
The Dream homes, which have proved to be very popular, are also closed and will not reopen. Closing the homes helps maximize the proceeds going to the hospital foundations. Prior to this spring, the lottery had raised almost $35 million (net). This draw will add to that total.
Since the lottery sold out prior to the June 20 Early Bird sales deadline, the draw date will be moved up in accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) approved rules. Winners of the grand prize and 50/50 will be announced on Thursday, July 4. Lottery details, including prizes, video tours of the homes, draw dates and contest rules can be found at dreamitwinit.ca
