EDMONTON, AB, August 3, 2016 — Elaine Schram (Ticket #3643) and Donald Howard (Ticket #6555) are each $6,000 richer after taking home the joint title of Early Bird winners in the 2016 Summer Edmonton Humane Society Friends for Life Lottery.
Schram and Howard’s winning tickets were selected in a draw held yesterday, August 2nd on-site at the Society (13620 163 St NW) in Edmonton. According to information published by the official lottery, all winners will be notified by phone within 7 days of being drawn.
The next draw will take place on September 6th. 32 cash prizes of $500, 6 cash prizes of $1,000, 2 cash prizes of $2,500, and the Grand Prize of $15,000 will be awarded. Ticket buyers have until August 26th to purchase tickets to be eligible for the draw. Tickets can be purchased online on the official 2016 Summer Edmonton Humane Society Friends for Life Lottery website.
The support of ticket buyers ensures that the Society’s animals receive special attention including select diet, medication, surgery — even behaviour evaluations and training. Every ticket purchased means another animal has a second chance at finding a new home.
