VANCOUVER, BC, Friday, July 9, 2021 — Get your tickets to help BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in their quest to conquer childhood illnesses – and you could win some truly incredible prizes.
The 2021 Dream Lottery features 3,163 prize draws (worth over $4 million total), including three Bonus Draws, 51 Early Bird Draws (worth over $400,000), and a Grand Prize Draw with 8 dream options – including the lottery’s biggest cash prize ever.
“This year, the Grand Prize winner can choose $2.3 million (tax-free cash) or one of seven spectacular home packages,” said Erin Cebula, BC Children’s Hospital’s lottery spokesperson.
“For example, there are two Grand Prize home packages located in the Okanagan – Kelowna and Penticton, valued at $2.6 million and $2.5 million, respectively. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo at the Granite at McKinley (in Kelowna) is 1,083 sq. ft. with a 297 sq. ft. patio, and it has a beautiful view of Lake Okanagan. This prize package also comes with furnishings, cars, a motorcycle, and cash!”
There are also two Grand Prize home options located in South Surrey, in idyllic Morgan Creek and two home options on Vancouver Island – at Crown Isle in Courtenay, or in downtown Victoria at Capital Park Residences. Or, choose a sub-penthouse condo in Vancouver’s Oakridge neighbourhood – at COCO.
This year’s largest Grand Prize package options are worth over $2.9 million!
Challenge the status quo
Support research breakthroughs that will conquer childhood illnesses
The 2021 Dream Lottery supports research initiatives that lead to innovative discoveries and treatments, which in turn directly help experts at BC Children’s Hospital advance their quest to conquer childhood illnesses.
Here, more than 1,000 researchers work to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Lottery funds help accelerate the pace of turning discoveries into life-saving treatments – ultimately helping more kids get back to being kids.
“Our hospital is home to world-leading experts, and a large reason for this is due to the significant amount of resources we put towards research,” said Akash Rattan, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Dream Lottery funds go directly towards innovative research, which leads to new medical solutions to treat B.C.’s sick and injured children.
“Over the past 14 months throughout the pandemic, our hospital’s researchers and clinicians haven’t lifted their feet off the gas pedal. They have pivoted and adapted to changes as needed, and most importantly they have continued to provide our children with the best medical options available. Thank you to all of our Dream Lottery participants for your continued support.”
