VANCOUVER, BC, December 11, 2020 — The Christmas lights at Bright Nights in Stanley Park will sadly not be shining bright this festive season, but you can be a bright light for burn survivors across BC by purchasing a Bright Nights 50/50 ticket.
At over $175,000, the jackpot is soaring! Buy your tickets today to support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Tickets are 1 for $15, 3 for $40, or 6 for $60.
Bright Nights in Stanley Park was officially cancelled on Monday during the afternoon COVID update. While the Burn Fund supports Dr. Bonnie Henry’s Provincial Health Order banning social events until January 8, 2021, the cancellation of this holiday tradition means there will be a significant shortfall in the Burn Fund’s fundraising this year.
Bright Nights in Stanley Park is the Burn Fund’s single largest fundraising event of the year and is responsible for raising around a half million dollars. These funds keep the Burn Fund’s programs operating year round, ensuring that burn survivors from babies to seniors have the care they so urgently need.
Bright Nights in Stanley Park will return next year bigger and brighter. In the meantime, we are asking for your support. From purchasing vital medical equipment for burn units at BC hospitals to offering support through Burn Camp programs for children of all ages, hundreds of people in this province rely on the Burn Fund’s services.
You can support this vulnerable community by purchasing a Bright Nights 50/50 ticket. Help make someone’s Christmas a little brighter this year by buying your 50/50 tickets today!
With a deadline of New Year’s Eve and a draw date of January 4, 2021, you could walk into the New Year a winner!
