ONTARIO, April 12, 2016 — The Early Bird deadline for the Canadian Cancer Society Lottery is this Friday! Don’t miss your chance to enter into this draw- only participants who buy their tickets by midnight on Friday, April 15th will be eligible to win. You won’t want to miss out on this prize draw. The Early Bird prize this year is a package that will open the doors to endless adventures this summer! The family-fun package includes the Super Duty 2016 Ford F-250 XLT, that has the comfort and fuel economy you want, and the power you’ll need to tow the rest of the prize package: a luxurious 2016 Crossroads Cruiser Aire recreational vehicle with all the bells and whistles, PLUS $25,000 cash! The package is valued at $143,127, and can also be claimed in cash by the winner. The Early Bird draw will take place on April 28.
The final deadline to purchase tickets for this lottery is in two weeks. All Cash Calendar, 50/50 and Grand Prize ticket sales will close at midnight on Thursday, April 21. Tickets are already 75% sold out, so don’t wait until the last minute! Daffodil Daily Lottery tickets are $100 each, or $250 for 3, or $375 for 5 and can be purchased by telephone or online. Note that Cash for Calendar tickets are purchased separately, whereas 50/50 tickets are purchased in conjunction with a Daffodil Daily lottery ticket.

As a refresher, here’s what you will be playing for. There are TEN Grand Prizes, which include a range of luxury and sport-utility vehicles (bundled with cash prizes), $50,000 cash, and the Super Grand Prize of $1 Million cash. These will be drawn on May 31. Leading up to the Grand Prize draw will be an entire MONTH of daily prize giveaways. Each day in May, ticketholders will have the chance to win Bonus Cash ($1000), Daily Cash ($5000), or the Daily Car. There are 217 total daily draws, so plenty of chances to win!
To top it all off, proceeds from your ticket purchase will be supporting the Canadian Cancer Society and their efforts to understand and combat cancer and improve treatment for patients and families battling this disease. The Society dedicates 100% of the net Lottery proceeds to research into all types of cancer, benefiting people all across Ontario. The Society’s successes include discovering:
- that the gene mutation that causes retinoblastoma, a cancer of the eye, allowing for earlier diagnosis and treatment
- that medulloblastoma, a childhood brain cancer, has 4 distinct subtypes. Now, treatment is personalized to improve survival and reduce side effects.
- vinblastine, a drug that is instrumental in treating certain types of childhood lymphoma and brain cancer
The proceeds from the Wheels of Hope 50/50 Raffle are dedicated to the Transportation Program at the Canadian Cancer Society, providing cancer patients with rides to their treatment appointments.
