NEW WESTMINSTER, BC, January 6, 2026 — Time is ticking down to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation’s 50/50 Lottery Jackpot draw. On January 22, someone is going to take half the prize – could it be you?
The new Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower is scheduled to open in 2026 and the upper floors reflect a vision of health care built not only for today’s patients but for generations to come. Levels 7 through 10 bring together dedicated inpatient units that support healing, teaching, and the delivery of highly specialized care for patients across British Columbia.
Level 7 will be home to Internal Medicine and the Clinical Teaching Unit, where teams care for patients with complex medical needs while training the next generation of physicians. On Level 8, Vascular Surgery and Medicine will come together in a modern environment designed to support recovery. Level 9 will house Royal Columbian’s Neurosciences Unit, caring for patients experiencing stroke, brain and spine injuries, and other neurological conditions. And on Level 10, the Trauma and Orthopedics Units will support individuals recovering from serious injuries, fractures, and orthopedic surgeries.
Across all four floors, private rooms, improved infection control, enhanced monitoring, and quieter, more welcoming environments create space for rest, dignity, and family support.
