NEW WESTMINSTER, BC, January 21, 2026 — Tomorrow, the Grand Prize Jackpot Draw will decide who takes home half the pot in the Royal Columbian Hospital 50/50 Lottery.
Tickets must be purchased by 9:00AM Thursday, January 22.
With past jackpots close to $200,000, this is your chance at life-changing winnings, while also helping Royal Columbian Hospital expand care for patients across BC.
In 2026, Royal Columbian will open the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower, a 10-storey, purpose-built facility that will transform how urgent and specialized care are delivered. Behind the scenes, teams are testing equipment, rehearsing workflows, and preparing to move entire programs into modern spaces designed for today’s, and tomorrow’s, patients.
More than a new building, the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower is a thoughtfully designed environment created to support healing, comfort, and collaboration. It will offer larger clinical spaces that enhance comfort, private rooms that provide dignity and quiet for patients and families, and integrated technology that supports rapid diagnosis and highly coordinated care. Light-filled corridors, purpose-built family areas, and dedicated zones for specialized services reflect a commitment to both patient experience and clinical excellence.
Inside the new tower, the Emergency Department will more than double in size, a new interventional “superfloor” will speed treatment for heart attacks and strokes, and critical care capacity will grow dramatically. Families will also find comfort in new maternity and neonatal spaces built to keep parents and newborns close.

As BC’s leading critical care hospital, one in three British Columbians rely on Royal Columbian Hospital. We are the only hospital in BC with trauma, cardiac, neurosciences, high-risk maternity and neonatal intensive care on one site. We look after some of the most seriously ill and injured patients, and we do it with the support of donors like you.
Since 1978, donors to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation have helped fund priority equipment needs, facility enhancements, research, education and innovation at Royal Columbian Hospital. Secure your ticket before the deadline.
