REGINA, SK, August 8, 2017 — If you purchased a ticket to the 2017 STARS Lottery Saskatchewan, then you deserve a pat on the back for supporting the first respondents who provide emergency care to sick and critically injured patients across the province.
But why stop at a pat on the back? This year, the Lottery awarded their winning supporters with 2,016 prizes, worth more than $4 million retail! The final draws took place on August 8th at the Saskatoon area Grand Prize show home (304 Greenbryre Crescent North, Greenbryre Estates, Saskatoon, SK) and were open to the public. If you attended the draw, then you’ll already know that the big Grand Prize winner was Ryan Shordee of Fort Qu’appelle (Ticket #40189410), who now is the owner of the $1.5 Million Grand Prize home in the Spruce Creek Estates of Regina.
There was a second Grand Prize, a home in Saskatoon’s Greenbryre Estates, that was also worth $1.5 million and is awarded fully furnished and ready for its winner, Adam Cieslak of Lipton (Ticket #10277901) to call it their new “home.”
The Lucky Stars 50/50 was another hot ticket, with the jackpot that reached $1.6 million. The winning ticket was #70040102 and belonged to Bill Seymour of Carnduff, who takes home $800,000 in cash winnings.
The vehicles on the roster this year will spice up the winners’ driveways for sure. If not, the winners could also take the cash option. The 2017 Ford Escape 4WD OR $32,500 cash prize went to Shawn & Nadine Trapp of Christopher Lake (Ticket #30089404). Corey Bacon of Kinistino (Ticket #40201303) won the 2017 Chevrolet Trax AWD LT OR $30,000 cash. There’s a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport FWD OR $25,000 cash withWayne Lomenda of Kamsack (Ticket #11019601)’s name on it. As for Ernest Carey of Saskatoon (Ticket #40261712), they will choose between the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze OR $22,000 cash.
