VANCOUVER, BC, August 8, 2017 — If you purchased a ticket to the 2017 Hometown Heroes Lottery, then you have supported the Burn Fund as well as the highly trained trauma teams and medical specialists at Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute and Vancouver Community Health Services.
The Grand Prize and 50/50 winners were announced last week, but in case you missed it, the Grand Prize went to G. Villanueva (Ticket #6307233) from Vancouver and the 50/50 jackpot of $879,502.50 went to S. Bale and P. Mack from Kelowna with ticket #8113526.
The next set of prizes were the car or cash prizes. The first winner, A. Young of Vancouver, BC (Ticket #6609660), will choose either a 2017 VW Jetta Highline 1.8I Automatic OR a 2017 Honda CR-V OR $28,000 cash. The second winner, C. Wall of White Rock, BC (Ticket #6339782), can choose to either hop on a 2017 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail + $1,000 cash, OR cruise in a 2017 Honda HR-V, OR spend the $22,000 cash.
The next winner has a vacation in their future. D. Watts of Surrey, BC (Ticket #6651374), you’ve won a $5,000 Travel Gift Card from Carlson Wagonlit OR $4,000 cash.
There were over 2,500 more prizes awarded, so grab your ticket and head on over to the official lottery website. You can enter your name or ticket number to see if you have won a prize.
The Grand Prize, and all other prizes with a value in excess of $1,000, were drawn on Thursday, August 3, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Global TV in Burnaby. The remaining prizes with a value of $1,000 or less were drawn on Friday, August 4.
Stay tuned for the next round of winners, which will be the Daily Cash Plus draw winners. 201 ticket holders will be selected in total between August 12 to November 19, with 2 winners each Friday of $2,500 each, 2 winners each day of the week except Fridays of $1,000 each, and 1 winner of $50,000 on the final day, Sunday, November 19, 2017.
