The Bright Nights 50/50 is named after the beloved 23-year holiday event where fire fighters transform Stanley Park into a winter wonderland to raise funds for burn survivors. While fire fighters traditionally accept donations at the entrance to Bright Nights, due to the pandemic this is not possible this year. The Bright Nights 50/50 Raffle was created in hopes of recouping these vital donations. 

Proceeds support the Burn Fund’s survivor programs and province-wide burn and fire prevention education initiatives, like the Fire Prevention Week Contest which takes place every October. This year’s contest welcomed a record number of poster and video submissions, successfully bringing fire prevention education into the classroom.

The Bright Nights 50/50 is named after the beloved 23-year holiday event where fire fighters transform Stanley Park into a winter wonderland to raise funds for burn survivors. Sadly this year, the traditional Bright Nights event is unable to operate at full capacity with only the Christmas Train moving ahead. The Bright Nights 50/50 Raffle was created in hopes of recouping these vital donations.

Proceeds will support burn survivor programs like Burn Camp for kids, virtual mental health support, and the Home Away accommodation program which offers families traveling to Vancouver for burn and trauma treatment a home away from home.
